Applied Behavioral Analysis

Utilizing Verbal Behavior and Discrete Trial Techniques includes the use of individualized teaching programs which start at the child’s developmental level, teaching specific behaviors and concepts.  These techniques are used in one to one settings and throughout the day in natural environment settings in order to generalize learned skills.

Sensory Integration
Sensory Integration looks at the way in which a child receives and reacts to sensations in and around him, and how that affects his ability to manage daily tasks. Sensory activities are used to calm and help organize the child, making him more available for interaction and learning.  All of these activities support learning and the development of self help skills such as dressing, eating and toilet training.

Floortime

Floortime reflects the work of Dr. Stanley Greenspan and uses interactive relationships to foster social and cognitive growth.  This approach looks at the child’s developmental level, the individual differences of each child and interactive relationships with others.  Small group activities such as art, movement, music, language arts and play provide opportunities to promote attention and interaction.
