February's theme is “Winter Animals” - all children will participate in a "bear hunt" !!

Steve Kaplan Memorial Foundation Grant
NIS received a generous donation of $20,000 from the Steve Kaplan Memorial Foundation. This money is from proceeds from the fifth annual Children’s Charities Pro-Am Golf Tournament - and will be used towards programs for our children.

HOLIDAYS ARE SPECIAL AT NIS

Our Executive Director, Helen Wilder, shared the customs of Kwanza with our NIS kids. The children participated by dancing and playing musical instruments.

To help celebrate Chanukah, psychologist Irwin Reznik, presented a magic show. The children had a wonderful time singing Chanukah Songs.

Friday, Dec.20th was a very exciting day at NIS. The staff prepared a special event for our children. The therapists dressed up as reindeer and elves, and along with Santa and Mrs. Claus, paraded through the building. All the classes participated in a holiday
sing-a-long and received presents from Santa.
